Saunhita Kher, popularly known as Tanvi Azmi who is a film and TV actress, hailing from India. She is the daughter of Marathi-Hindi actress Usha Kiran and Dr. Manohar Kher. She exclusively works in the Kannada film industry and has acted in various movies and television serials. Also, she is the victor of several awards and honors and earned a few nominations for showing absolutely amazing performances during her career life. She is mainly known for the role of a doctor played in the teleseries named “Jeevanrekha” released in 1986.

Tanvi Azmi took the start of her career with a tele-series named “Jeevanrekha” which was released in 1986. In the tele-series, she appeared as a troubled doctor. While in the same year, she acted in the telefilm named “Rao Saheb” which was directed by Vijaya Mehta. Indeed, the most-talented actress received huge acclaim for these telefilms. In 1993, Tanvi Azmi also worked in the Malayalam film industry and worked in the movie “Vidheyan” which was directed by Adoor Gopalakrishnan.
In 1995, Tanvi Azmi got a few nominations and some of them is the Filmfare Award for the category of Best Supporting Actress for the role played in the movie Akele Hum Akele Tum” featuring Amir Khan and Manisha Koirala.
In 2014, she also appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial “Bajirao Mastani” in which she played the role of Radhabai, a mother of Bajirao. In the movie, she appeared in a bald role which was a huge challenge that she boldly accepted. For this role, she was awarded the National Film Award for the category of Best Supporting Actress for absolutely amazing performance in the movie.
In 2017, she appeared in “Vani Ran” aired on And TV in which she portrayed a dual role. However, she has worked in a large number of movies and telefilms and TV serials for which she became popular among fans and viewers.

Among various notable achievements, Tanvi Azmi was awarded the National Award for the category of Best Supporting Actress for the movie “Bajirao Mastani” in 2016 and also won the Guild Film Award for the category of Best Supporting Role for the same movie.
