Babita Hari Shivdasani aka Babita Kapoor is a former Indian actress. She made appearances in Hindi movies. She is the daughter of Hari Shivdasani and the first cousin of her contemporary actress Sadhana Shivdasani.

She is known for appearing in the first successful drama film titled ‘Dus Lakh’ in 1966. In 1967, Babita made an appearance alongside Rajesh Khanna in ‘Raaz’ for which she got recognition.

Career

Babita Kapoor debuted with a drama film named ‘Dus Lakh’in 1966. She then didn’t stop herself from working in showbiz and appeared in many films.

From 1966 to 1973, Babita Kapoor made appearances in 19 movies wherein she played the role of a leading actress. She is known for commercially hit films including ‘Dus Lakh’, ‘Farz’ (1967), ‘Ek Shriman Ek Shrimati’ (1969), and many others that are famous.

Among other acting credits, Haseena Maan Jayegi, Kismat (968), Doli (1969), Kab? Kyoon? Aur Kahan? (1970),Kal Aaj Aur Kal (1971) and Banphool (1971).

After getting married to Randhir Kapoor in 1971, she then appeared in ‘Jeet’, ‘Ek Hasina Do Deewane’, and both films were released in the year 1972.

Later, she acted in Sone Ke Hath (1973) but it went flopped and she then left her film career. The couple has two daughters together, film actresses Karishma and Kareena.
