Priyanka made her first acting debut with a Tamil movie Jay Jay, accredited as Amiga.
She made her first Bollywood appearance with the movie Sarkar and afterward in the same year starred in James, created by Rohit Jugraj and Ram Gopal Varma correspondingly. The movie James turned Priyanka into a sex symbol. She afterward moved ahead to appear in the movie “The Killer” alongside Emraan Hashmi. After that, she had featured in less significant movies and characters. She frequently appeared in Ram Gopal Varma’s movies like Darna Zaroori Hai, Shiva and Aagg, wherein she played the role of Ghungroo, Agyaat, and Darling also his productions just like Go & Stalker. Numerous of these films were unsuccessful. Priyanka Kothari made her Kannada debut with the movie Raaj the Showman alongside Puneeth Rajkumar in the year 2009 and afterward did a supporting role in the movie Dandupalya.
