Sumona Chakravarti is a film and TV actress, hailing from India and works in the Bollywood film and entertainment industry. She has marked her identity in various Indian movies and TV serials and shows for which she gained immense popularity for her outstanding work. She is mainly for her appearance on “The Kapil Sharma Show” and gained much recognition.


Sumona Chakravarti started her career with a Bollywood movie “Mann” which became the most-liked and most popular movie of the year. In the movie, she can be seen alongside Aamir Khan and Manisha Koirala. It was the time when Sumona Chakravarti was just 11 years of age and she played the role of Neha.

In 2011, she appeared in the most-watched TV serial “Bade Acche Lagte Hain” in which she portrayed the role of Natasha. While the serial was produced by Balaji Telefilms. In the same year, she also made appearances in the comedy show “Kahani Comedy Circus Ki” which was aired on Sony Entertainment Television alongside Kapil Sharma, and the duo won at the show. Later, she worked alongside Kapil Sharma on his show “The Kapil Sharma Show” in which she portrayed the role of his wife Manju.

In 2010, she appeared in another movie named “Aakhri Decision” in which she portrayed the role of Mansee.  In 2012, she worked in the movie “Barfi” starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone and Sumona Played the role of Shruti’s friend.

In 2014, the most talented star appeared in “Kick” in which she played the role of Vidhi. While she acted in another movie named “Phir Se” in which she played the role of Pia for which she gained much appreciation.

However, she has acted in various TV serials apart from movies and became popular for her attractive good looks. Moreover, she has won several awards and earned a few nominations as well.


Among various notable achievements, Sumona Chakravarti won the Indian Telly Award for the category of the Best Ensemble Cast in “The Comedy Nights with Kapil” in 2014. Also, she has earned a few nominations for her best work.
