Inderpreet Singh Dhanoa, popularly known as Dan Dhano, who is a former film actor. And very few people know that he is a sailor (Master Mariner) in the Merchant Navy. He belongs to a middle-class family of India and did schooling from The Doon School, located in Dehradun. He is an avid traveler and loves to indulge himself in his passions, such as; gardening, collecting art & artifacts.

Career

The actor is mainly known for playing negative roles in the Bollywood film industry. Mostly, he played such kind of roles in between the 1980s to 1990s. Moreover, he has worked in more than 100 movies and undoubtedly, holds a special place in the heart of his fans who sings praise for him.

He always gives credit to the famed, veteran actor, director, Feroz Khan who introduced him to the Hindi cinema. In 1984, Dan Dhanoa made his film debut with the movie “Mard” which was directorial of Manmohan Desai. While the film cast the veteran, iconic, superstar, Amitabh Bachchan. It was a great pleasure for Dhanoa to work with such a talented, most-famed, and renowned actor, Amitabh Bachchan.

Later, after making a debut, he frequently appeared in several movies and became popular for his best performances.

In 1986, he appeared in the movie “Karma” for which he got much recognition from viewers and fans. Later, he appeared in “Tridev” which was directed by Rajiv Rai and produced by Gulshan Rai. While the film features superstars, like; Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, and Naseeruddin Shah who played their roles brilliantly.

In 1991, he appeared in the movie “Sanam Bewafa” in which he worked alongside the Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan. However, he has marked his identity in the cinema and appeared in various hit movies.

In 1986, he got married to Nikii Waalia and the couple is blessed with a son, Gobind Singh Dhanoa. Now his son is a cinematographer. Well, the couple parted their ways, and later, Dhanoa got married to Nandita Puri, who is an actress and a classical dancer as well. The couple got married in the year 2007.
