Minissha Lamba is a renowned Indian movie actress who predominantly appears in Hindi movies. She made her first debut with the movie titled Yahaan. Her other noticeable movies comprise off Bachna Ae Haseeno, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd., Bheja Fry 2 and Well Done Abba.
Minissha Lamba was born in New Delhi, India on 18th January, 1985. She belongs to a Hindu family and was born to Manju Lamba and Kawel Lamba in New Delhi. He also has a brother named Karanbir Lamba. Minissha attended Chettinad Vidyashram School in Chennai and afterwards joined Army Public School in Srinagar wherein she completed her studies. She earned her bachelor’s degree with a major in English (Hons) from University of Delhi, Miranda House.
Once studying at University of Delhi, Minissha Lamba initiated to model for commercial ads like Sony, LG, Hajmola, Cadbury, Sunsilk, Airtel etc. She was also a prominent part of Femina’s Generation “W” advertisement. Throughout an ad shoot for Cadbury she was contacted by Shoojit Sircar who casted her to appear in his movie Yahaan. Minissha afterwards started to play supporting and afterwards leading roles in movies like Rocky: The Rebel, Corporate, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd., Anthony Kaun Hai, Shaurya, Dus Kahaniyaan and Anamika.
In the year 2008, she starred in the movie titled Bachna Ae Haseeno, her major success until now. In the same year, she was noted for her portrayal in Sanjay Gadhvi’s movie titled Kidnap. Her next leading role was in the commercially and critically commended movie titled Well Done Abba which was also awarded by National Filmfare Award for the Best Movie on Social Concerns for 2009 and Minissha’s role of Muskaan Ali was very well commended. In the year 2014, she took part in a television reality show titled Bigg Boss Season 8 aired on Colors TV. One of her recent performances was her role in the movie titled Double Di Trouble, together with Gippy Grewal, Dharmendra, Kulraj Randhawa, Gurpreet Ghuggi and Poonam Dhillon. She has also starred in a musical video of Himesh Reshammiya’s song titled “Tera Surroor” which became immensely famous.
On 6th July 2015, Minissha Lamba tied the knot with her longtime friend named Ryan Tham who is the first cousin of Pooja Bedi as well as the owner of a Juhu nightclub.
