Deepika was the first and final choice of Farah Khan for Happy New Year

Initially, Deepika had been approached by Farah Khan for her movie “Happy New Year,” but the film didn’t go on the floor at that time. Therefore, Farah instead of that film, signed Deepika for her another upcoming megaproject, the film “Om Shanti Om.” Surprisingly, Deepika was again selected for Happy New Year, after the seven years later.

She got a remuneration of Rs. 500cr in 2013

However, the actress shared her surname with the real name of Guru Dutt who is the Indian yesteryear legendary filmmaker that was Vasanth Kumar Shivashankar Padukone. Deepika and late Guru Dutt belong to the same Karnataka’s Chitrapur Saraswat Brahmin community.

Deepika adopted a village in the past

As it is known by only a few people that she was adopted a village in a small town of Pune, in Ambegaon, Maharashtra state, India. Deepika has founded live laugh love foundation, it works with the NGO who helps and deals with persons who are phasing depression. Additionally, she chose to speak about her phase of life when she was struggling with depression.

Before becoming a superstar she has rejected to model with Salman Khan

It is a shocking truth. Before entering Bollywood, Deepika rejected an opportunity to pair up with Salman Khan in the Liril Soap ad. Salman also wished to act her beside him, when he saw the ad. Once Deepika received a call from the production about the modeling offer she rejected it as she wasn’t prepared for that.
