Esha Dharmendra Deol commonly known as Esha Deol is a well-known Indian film actress as well as a model. She made her first debut from the Bollywood movie “Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche” in the year 2002 which made her to win a number of nominations and awards accompanied by Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

Esha Deol was born in Bombay, India on 2nd November 1981. She is the daughter of superstars Hema Malini and Dharmendra Deol. Esha belongs to a Punjabi family. She has a younger sister named Ahana Deol. Esha Deol joined Mithibai College with the sole intention of pursuing fashion designing within Mumbai. She is also a proficient dancer in Odissi dance which she learned from her guru named “Rabindra Atibubbhi”. She also learned Bharatanatyam dancing style from her own Mom Hema Malini. Apart from this, Esha Deol is also a football player and the leader of her school team. Esha was also nominated for women’s team of Indian national football. She was in a relationship with a successful businessman named Bharat Takhtani. They got engaged on 12th February 2012. After that, the couple got married on 29th June 2012.

Being a daughter of a legendary actor, Esha Deol easily got an opportunity to appear in Bollywood film industry. Her first Indian movie was “Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche” alongside co-stars Sanjay Kapoor, Aftab Shivdasani, Anupam Kher and Jaya Bachchan.

Her second film “Na Tum Jano Na Hum” a love triangle story alongside Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan which cannot get much success on Indian box office though her role in this movie was highly admired by the critics and the viewers. She has appeared in a number of movies like “Dhoom”, “Kya Dil Ne Kahaa”, “No Entry” “Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne” and many more. Moreover, Esha Deol has acted in a few Tamil movies for which she also learnt Tamil language.

After appearing in movies like “Hijack” and “Cash” she took an interval from Bollywood for two years. In the year 2011, Esha made her comeback with the movie “Tell Me O Kkhuda” alongside Salman Khan. Esha Deol was last seen on TV as a Judge together with Vijender Singh, Karan Kundra and Rannvijay Singh in a reality show titled “Roadies X2” in 2015.

Esha Deol is considered amongst one of the most successful actresses all through the period of 2003. She has won Star Screen Awards, Filmfare awards and Bollywood Movie awards for the Best Female Debut.
