1. Never Wanted To Become An Actress

Although it may be difficult to believe given her talent, Eliza Dushku did not set out to be an actress. That career came to her, but being a Hollywood star was never her only ambition.

2. Tripped And Fell Into Her Acting Career

Acting, she explained, is something she “tripped and fell into.” It turns out she meant it literally when she said she tripped and fell. Her brother was the one who wanted to be an actor. When Dushku,  accompanied him to an audition, she ended up losing her balance, which drew the attention of producers. [1]

3. Her Mother Declined Her Onscreen Test

Dushku was hesitant to pursue an acting career, explaining that when she was first approached for a screen test, her mother declined on her behalf. Her brothers, on the other hand, encouraged her to go, thinking of it as a free trip to Hollywood but not expecting her to get the part.

4. Turned Down a “Buffy” Spinoff

Dushku was approached to reprise her role in a spinoff centered on her character “Buffy,” but she declined.
