1. He Wanted To Be A Marine Biologist

Hans wanted to be a paleontologist or a marine biologist as a child before opting to follow in his father’s footsteps, who was also a doctor. He was well on his way to becoming a doctor when he changed his mind and decided to pursue a career in acting. [1]

2. Also A Soccer Player

Growing up, soccer had a significant impact on his life. In Sacramento, he played in both high school and competitive leagues, and he would travel around the Pacific for tournaments, often playing four or five games in a single weekend.

3. A Great Cocktail Maker

His preferred beverage is an Agave tequila on the rocks with a lime. He once served Shonda Rhymes and had a fantastic talk with her despite not knowing who she was. Someone he worked with didn’t tell him who he was talking to until after she had gone.

Growing up in northern California, he was always a fan of his hometown’s lone professional sports team, the Sacramento Kings. He admitted to crying when Robert Horry nailed the game-winning three to beat the Kings in the playoffs.
