Warner Bros invited him to Hollywood in 1926, before inviting him, Michael had already directed 64 films. He had directed several popular films including Tenderloin, Doctor X, British Agent, The Sea Wolf, and many others. [1]

As we all know that he was one of the greatest directors and for his directing, he was also nominated five times and won the awards 2 times for best director for Casablanca and best short subject for Sons Of Liberty.
